Katie Larrington Boudoir Photography is an Award-Winning Womens’ Intimate Portraiture studio focused on helping women of all body shapes, colors and sizes confidently find their individual femininity, beauty and strength within themselves through fine art photography.

Once in a while, blow your own damn mind

I want to show every single woman that they are gorgeous just the way they are. It’s my goal to have each and every client say to me that I have changed the way they view themselves. I want for every woman to believe in their hearts that their "flaws" are what make them unique. They're the things that our significant others find so beautiful, they're the trophies from carrying children or losing weight, they are tattoos that you regret but can still find beauty in, they are a few extra pounds of "happy weight" as my Mom calls it. I never want a woman to come in and apologize for her body. Pretty please embrace that shit and know that you are fierce, beautiful, loved and way more than enough.

Why I Chose Boudoir

The very first time I was asked to shoot boudoir, I didn't even know what it was, and honestly, neither did my client. It was a friend of mine that I had known for years who wanted a groom's gift but didn't want a stranger taking them and she trusted me with her special portraits. When we got into the studio, which was a guest room in my parents' house, we were both super nervous. Fast forward 30 minutes and we were both laughing, her confidence was through the roof and the images were looking SO GOOD! I was amazed, both at her transformation and mine. By the end of the session, she was beaming with confidence, her spirits were high and she felt more beautiful than ever. I knew then and there that this was what I wanted to do, that I had found my calling. I knew that I wanted to make women feel like that every day, to show them the way that society sees them instead of what we think we see in the mirror. Boudoir forever has my heart and soul.

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself

My favorite part of the boudoir experience is the radical change that I see in my clients. When they step into the studio, most of them have never been photographed before, much less in this state of undress so they are super nervous and just all around thinking, "what have I gotten myself into?" By the time they get glammed up, they are much more confident and warmed up, ready to jump right in. By the end, every single client is strutting her stuff, striking poses, nerves are a thing of the past and their confidence is through the roof. At the reveal sessions they can see the change as we go through their images. Beginning shy and unsure and ending the badass that they are. The difference that I see in my ladies is my favorite part and is what drew me to boudoir photography in the first place.

A few fun facts about me

Why I love what I do
Making Women Feel Beautiful - With all of the ways that the world tells us that we aren't good enough, sometimes we just need a refresher to see ourselves as the wonderful, lovely creatures that we are. I strive to make everyone who walks in my studio feel better than she ever has before about herself. We all just need a little reminder sometimes.
Preserving Memories - I love seeing my artwork hanging in the homes of my clients or printed in albums for their better half. I think that it is so important to print pictures to be viewed and enjoyed daily as opposed to lost on a computer somewhere. While we do offer digital images, we highly recommend printing so that the images can be enjoyed, not only by you or your significant other, but so that your children and grandchildren can look back at how amazing and confident their grandma was.

Things That I Love
British TV shows - Come on, Ladies. Sherlock? Doctor Who? Torchwood? There's just something about them that's irresistible. I think his name is John Barrowman...or maybe Benedict Cumberbatch...
Hippos - One of my very best friends (deceased via Cystic Fibrosis) loved hippos and every time I see one, I get a little smile from her from Heaven.
