This was a spontaneous decision for me. I decided it was something I wanted to do, did a google search, found Katie, and booked within a couple of days.

I had a moment of uncertainty, like 'do I really want to pay money to just have pictures of me?' But, I have to say, that I am so happy that I did.

Day to day, I am very low key.. very minimal makeup, nikes, and jeans, that’s me. Looking at my photos, it almost feels like looking at a different person. I was so happy with the end results and know that I will keep these pictures forever!! I recommend this experience for everyone.

Lindsey {A Boudoir Story}

I never thought I would have the confidence to do a photoshoot. Especially one where I was wearing nothing! I have struggled with body image and self love for most of my life. I have always compared myself to others and wondered why I couldn't measure up. Kids to adults have been cruel throughout my life. I have had many people try to bring me down for different reasons from my teeth before braces to my weight changes.

I have struggled with eating disorders, depression, anxiety and self harm. I have to choose every day to fight to rise above it and have realized life is more than trying to fit in and measuring up to a certain "standard". I also reaIized the standards I've had for myself are unrealistic because everyone is unique in their own way.

Another thing I've struggled with is different health issues from 9 years old being diagnosed with a thyroid disease and at age 25 being diagnosed with bells palsy. Dealing with this has honestly made it hard to not lose confidence in myself but I try everyday to be positive, take care of myself and love myself because if you don't love yourself and see yourself as positive its hard to do the same for others.

I randomly did this shoot with Katie because I wanted a special Christmas gift to my husband. I felt nervous about it at first because I was afraid how big my body would look or if my nerves started spasming in my face how funny I would look. But after seeing the pictures I smiled and looked at myself differently seeing my beauty that Katie captured made me feel good. I would highly recommend Katie, she is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable and gorgeous and takes amazing pictures!

Glambassador Brittany {A Boudoir Story}

I heard about Katie's boudoir work through a friend of mine. She said she did a session, and was absolutely glowing with confidence when she showed me her photos. My friend told me I should do a session, and I thought, "I don't think so" and gave a nervous giggle. Katie's work was amazing, but I wasn't the type to really leave it all out there.

Throughout middle and high school, I was teased, ridiculed, and harassed for my fast developing curves. It took a lot of years, a lot of God, and a lot of doting from my husband to feel the way I do about myself. Still, I wasn't sure I was able to do something so "not me". I'm a tomboy, musician, and for the most part, an introvert. But then...
...This same friend sent me a link to Katie's website, and what came up was that she was looking for "Glambassadors"; women who wanted to lift up other women. Women that had been through things with their bodies. Women that may also need a confidence boost. I thought, "Ya know what? I'm going to try to become a glambassador. If I, a size 16, can strip myself down to lingerie in front of a camera and learn to be comfortable, maybe I can help someone else love their body."

The email letting me know I was chosen to be a glambassador immediately sent a wave of excitement through me. I was going to get prettied up by professionals and, as my husband said, finally see myself the way he does. The butterflies and countdown began.

Fast forward to the day of the shoot, I arrive at Katie's studio, bag of next-to-nothings in hand. "I am curvy. I am porcelain. I am a queen" I thought to myself, almost trying to convince myself in my mother's voice. And as soon as I walked in, the air felt calm. I knew this was a place where girls of every shape and size were put on a pedestal and encouraged and empowered.

Throughout hair, makeup, and the shoot, all I felt was acceptance. I felt like I was on top of the world. Every flaw I feared to bear seemed nonexistent. The constant encouragement and coaching made me feel like a goddess. When I finally saw my pictures, I was speechless. I'd never seen myself look so feminine and soft. I actually believed and was ready to admit that I looked pretty. My confidence has soared from this experience, and I'm so glad I did it.
Any woman that has ever had a problem with herself or has battled to come to a point of self love, needs to do a session with Katie Larrington. Her work goes far beyond photography. Her work is uplifting her fellow female, and that's exactly what she does.

Kaitlyn {A Boudoir Story}

Sometimes people come into your life and you just know that it's meant to be. I often spend weeks prior to sessions talking with clients, reassuring them that it's going to be awesome, discussing outfit choices and how they want their session to feel. Their comfort level is my greatest concern. "If you feel sexy, you'll look sexy." Confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear and this beauty was overflowing with it. My experience with Katie Larrington was wonderful from start to finish. I had anticipated my body looking a lot different by the time my boudoir session came around, but even though I was feeling weary, Katie had plans to make me feel comfortable, beautiful and sexy the entire time.

Seriously ladies, trust her! She knows exactly what to do to make you feel incredible, and the end result is for sure going to make your partner go crazy! Katie did more than give me beautiful photos, she gave me confidence I had been missing for years. xoxo

Carly {A Boudoir Story}

Today we are doing things a bit differently! Instead of me telling you how beautiful and fun my client was (which of course she's gorgeous and a blast to be around), I'm going to let her tell you in her own words how this session has affected her and her relationship. I'm so happy for her :)

After baby number three my self esteem had dropped dramatically which clearly affected my marriage. My husband would walk through the door after working all day and would want nothing more than to get in bed with me. How, I don't know. Most days I hadn't showered yet, I had spit up in my hair, still in my jammies with the kids but he still found me attractive (Me- not so much). When it came bed time the LAST thing I wanted when I layed down to go to sleep was to be intimate. Honestly I just wanted sleep.

I WANTED soooo bad to be the sexy, young thing I use to be who was always up for having fun with my sweet man. But children, housework and life got in the way. I had been praying that something would change. That I would be able to bring some spice back into our marriage.

I decided to do a Boudoir Session for my Husbands birthday and it was the BEST idea ever... Nervous, BOY was I nervous. I've never done anything like that in my life. But, I wanted my husband to know my love for him was still what it use to be. I wanted to give him a part of me that I had never given another man. He was BLOWN away by the pictures. He was sooooo surprised and super excited. He's made me try on each outfit for him and the look on his face has been priceless. He's like a kid on Christmas. Our marriage is better than ever and he can't keep his hands off me.

Thank you Katie for giving me the confidence I needed to spice up my marriage. My husband thanks you greatly :)

Meet the Crew {Lingerie Guide} - Ol' Blue

Ol' Blue came to us about a year ago and has been sitting in the closet with very little action although she is very beautiful. She features a beautiful deep blue satin fabric and a low cut back. This floor length beauty is everything you could ask for with lace inserts to show some skin while leaving everything up to the imagination. Ol' Blue is a size medium and is ready to serve you!

Faith {Boudoir Session}

I'm always so honored when people from out of town find my website or hear a recommendation and love my work enough to travel to my studio. It's literally one of the best feelings ever. Faith came to me from out of town and her session has been one of my absolute favorites. She was confident and so beautiful that it hurts. After her session, she loved her images so much that she is coming back for round two! {Which BTW is another one of the best feelings ever - repeat clients who just can't get enough of the confidence and self-love that comes with Boudoir.} We can't wait to see you again, Faith!
